after driving a few hours north on the Natchez Trace Parkway, it was getting late and I wanted a place to stay near the Parkway...so, I found the, uh..., Rainbow Motel in Jackson, MS...oh, my:my receipt was written on a post-it note; it cost an extra $5 to actually get a key; cash only (naturally, right...); my room came with a mirrored wall and a black light; pink sheets; a handpainted "starscape" on the ceiling that glowed when the black light was on; no lamp by the bed; and, finally, when you turned on the tv to the Cartoon Network, porn came on instead...
But it WAS near the Parkway... easy on, easy off (that's what she said)...
